This patient from Virginia Beach, now in her mid-40’s, underwent breast augmentation 5 years ago. She had 420 cc saline implants placed beneath her muscle on both sides. Since then, she has gained a little weight and at this point in her life feels that her breasts are too large.  She struggled with the decision to have smaller implants or have them removed completely, which can at times be a difficult decision.  Therefore, we performed a deflation simply under local anesthesia to show her what smaller implants would look like before completely replacing them.  A small needle removed 200 cc from each implant, leaving her with 220 cc in each breast.  Feeling confident after actually seeing and feeling what 200 cc is like, she had both implants replaced with 225 cc saline implants and is extremely happy with the result and how comfortable she is.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

We are excited to announce our reopening as of May 1st. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: Our commitment to your safety.

Consultations are available in our office and we will continue to offer Virtual Consultations as well. You will be asked to complete your registration paperwork in our secure patient portal prior to your appointment and your consultation fee will be collected by phone to minimize contact.

Here are a few changes we have made as we transition to this new era:

  • Please reschedule your appointment if you are not feeling well, have a fever, have been exposed to anyone with Covid-19 or travelled internationally within the last month.
  • We will limit the number of people in the building and waiting area to maintain social distancing and our staff will be wearing masks until restrictions are eased.
  • When you arrive for your appointment, please call our office at 757-456-5193 and we will let you know when to come to the door. We ask that you do not bring anyone with you.
  • Please wear a mask during your visit but do not wear gloves. Your temperature will be taken, and a series of questions asked prior to entering the building. You will be given hand sanitizer.
