This patient was bothered by hollowing around her eyes and the appearance of jowls on her lower face. In her case, the hollowing beneath her eyes was more pronounced underneath and towards the outside of the eyes. This is part of the normal aging process. However, the slight appearance of jowls was mostly due to a depression along the jaw line in front of the jowls, rather than aging. Fat injection or fat transfer is a nice solution for both of these areas. Her procedure was performed under local anesthesia. The post operative pictures show her result four months after surgery. After this point, minimal (if any) fat will be lost from the injection sites. She is very happy with her result, especially the improvement of the hollowing around her eyes.
