This young Virginia Beach woman was bothered by the hump of her nose and on the day of her consultation, we also noted together that her bridge was crooked and off to the left side.  I explained at the time that there are a number of things we can do to make her nose straighter and it will be equally important to try to maintain her breathing as normal and so spreader grafts were planned.  These take a little more time but improve the appearance and optimize breathing.  They are also not visible.
At the time of her rhinoplasty, just enough dorsal hump was removed to give a very natural un-operated appearance.  Spreader grafts were placed to maintain her breathing as normal.  When the bones were narrowed, I was also able to make her nose straighter.  She is extremely pleased with the natural, attractive shape of her nose that nicely accentuates her face.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

We are excited to announce our reopening as of May 1st. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: Our commitment to your safety.

Consultations are available in our office and we will continue to offer Virtual Consultations as well. You will be asked to complete your registration paperwork in our secure patient portal prior to your appointment and your consultation fee will be collected by phone to minimize contact.

Here are a few changes we have made as we transition to this new era:

  • Please reschedule your appointment if you are not feeling well, have a fever, have been exposed to anyone with Covid-19 or travelled internationally within the last month.
  • We will limit the number of people in the building and waiting area to maintain social distancing and our staff will be wearing masks until restrictions are eased.
  • When you arrive for your appointment, please call our office at 757-456-5193 and we will let you know when to come to the door. We ask that you do not bring anyone with you.
  • Please wear a mask during your visit but do not wear gloves. Your temperature will be taken, and a series of questions asked prior to entering the building. You will be given hand sanitizer.
