This 54-year-old woman from Southeast Virginia had a rhinoplasty years ago at another practice.  She came to me to discuss a revision rhinoplasty because she did not feel that the previous surgery had improved her nasal shape.  She did not like the profile from the side and the crookedness.   She was also concerned by the width of her tip and the nasal bone. During our discussion, I pointed out that in order to improve her profile, we would need to address not just the hump, but a weak falling tip and extra cartilage that had grown down towards the upper lip.  In surgery, these were trimmed and her tip was supported.  Notice in the after photo, that even when she smiles, she keeps a nice shape and the deformities she had in the past are no longer accentuated.  She is now very happy with the shape of her nose.
