This 30-year-old Chesapeake woman was concerned about the appearance of her nose and on exam, we found quite significant crookedness and over projection also known as Pinocchio nose. She had a long nose and it was tilted towards the floor. Also, her upper lip appeared short because her septum that over grew in length and projection also grew into the upper lip. During her open rhinoplasty surgery her nose was straightened, and the tip was set back. Extra cartilage that had grown into her upper lip was removed to give her a more normal upper tip length. Her tip was also rotated up considerably but in the after picture, her head is tilted down slightly. It does not show the exact amount that her nose was tilted upward and shortened. She is very pleased with the appearance and has excellent breathing following her rhinoplasty.
