This 48-year-old patient from Virginia Beach came to consult with me expressing concerns about the crookedness of her nose, droopiness of her tip, and the height of her bridge. Upon examination I determined she had a large bony hump and a deviated septum, as well as a drooping tip – all of these characteristics are similar to what we might find in an older, aging nose, and have combined to age her face prematurely. In order to address her areas of concern, we decided to lower her bony hump, narrow her tip, rotate her tip up slightly, and trim some of the internal bony structures known as a turbinates on one side of her nose to correct for the deviation of her septum. The changes to her face are subtle but she now appears younger and more refreshed, and she is extremely pleased with her natural-looking result.
