This young woman from Virginia Beach has been bothered for many years by the dorsal prominence or hump on her nose. After viewing her own photos during our discussion, she became aware that this was not an average nasal hump of bone, but one that extends far into the thick bone between her eyes. This type of correction requires special surgical instrumentation to adequately lower the bone high up, on the bridge of the nose. Here she is shown at one year after surgery and one can see improvement in the size and shape of her upper lip as well. Her nose had over grown and lifted up the upper lip and shortened it.
