The No-Touch Technique for Breast Augmentation 

More and more patients are inquiring whether we use the "no-touch" technique for breast augmentation.  Absolutely!  Many are not aware that world wide the "no-touch" technique originated here in Virginia Beach with Dr. Richard Mladick, Dr. Hubbard's associate for six years.  Dr. Hubbard recognized the importance of this and has used the method since 1993.  He has duplicated Dr. Mladick's experience of an extremely low (1%) capsule contracture rate since then.  It involves special antibiotics placed on the implant immediately and the surgeon changing gloves multiple times during the surgery to ensure that bacteria does not come into contact with the implants.  Because Dr. Hubbard performs the no-touch technique during breast augmentation, a softer, more natural result can be more consistently obtained.
